Website Redesign ROI Calculator

Test a business case using your own numbers. A redesign does not guarantee a conversion increase, traffic, revenue, or rankings. The starting values are examples, not benchmarks.

Your assumptions

Net monthly contribution

After additional monthly running cost.

12-month net contribution

After the one-time and monthly project costs.

12-month ROI

Net contribution divided by total project cost for the year.

Simple payback

Time to cover the one-time cost from positive net monthly contribution.

How the model works

New conversion rate = current rate × (1 + relative change ÷ 100). Extra monthly conversions = visitors × the change in conversion rate. Extra contribution = extra conversions × net value per conversion.

Subtract additional monthly running cost to get net monthly contribution. Multiply extra contribution by 12, then subtract one-time cost and 12 months of running costs. Divide that result by the same total project cost to calculate 12-month ROI.

What this does not establish

The model assumes constant traffic and a constant conversion change for a year. It does not predict either, model seasonality, discount future cash flows, or prove that a redesign caused a result. Zero or negative net monthly contribution does not pay back the initial investment.

Where should the conversion assumption come from?

Use a measured test or a clearly labeled planning range. Include a zero-change and a negative-change scenario. Check the completed customer journey, not just the appearance of the new homepage.

What does Revamp cost?

Use the current Revamp plans and your expected external-service costs. A subscription price is not the full cost of your project. The cost calculator helps add work, one-time expenses, and ongoing operation.
